In order to start the second year of the Foundation Programme (F2) you need to apply for full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC. You should submit your application as early as possible to make sure you have the correct registration in time to start your F2 post.

The F1-F2 TOI/STEP has now been issued to all F1S due to move to F2 in August. If you haven't received a link and you are an F1 due to move to F2 in August please contact the Foundation Team through the portal by clicking here.

Inter-Foundation School Transfers (IFST)

Self-Development Time Update: 

The HEE website has been updated about Self-Development Time, with the requirement now stated to be 2 hours per week each for F1 & F2.

Recommendation #14 of the foundation review was to ensure all foundation doctors have time formally included in their work schedules for non-clinical professional activities and that this would be called ‘self-development time’.
